Welcome to Take Out Paper Arts where the focus is on clean, trendy and simple Stampin' Up projects

This week's color challenge has a dynamite combination of colors -- Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla. Quite dynamic and fun.
I wasn't quite in the mood to do a holiday card and needed a card for a friend who is going through some rough times to let him know I was there. So I subdued the colors a bit and used very little of the Cherry Cobbler and more of the Always Artichoke.
BUT........there was a problem!! I went to my stash of card stock and yikes! I was out of Always Artichoke! What was I going to do? My nearest Pretty Pal is more than 100 miles away, so that was out of the question. Finally, I figured it out -- My Digital Studio!! I printed out a sheet of Always Artichoke card stock from My Digital Studio. So technically, this is a hybrid card.
I played with texture by using the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in two different directions to give the card so depth. The brads add a little interest without too much bling.

Cardstock: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke (from My Digital Studio)
Ink: Always Artichoke
Stamp Sets: Have a Seat, Trendy Trees
Big Shot: Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
Punch: Extra Large Oval
Embellishments: 5/16" Neutrals Jumbo Brads
Play along with the Pals and use your imagination and supplies to create something to match the sketch! It doesn't have to use only Stampin' Up! supplies, we want to see your card making skills at their best!
Stop by often and see what's happening at Take Out Paper Arts!
